Sugar Type - Do you know that confectioners’ sugar and powdered sugar are different? Both of these sugars work differently. Choose the type you are more familiar with. I generally use powered one as it mix easily.

 TIP 7

Choose Your Flour - Even harder to differentiate are the various types of flour. Forget the all-purpose stuff and step up your baking game. Use flour specifically made for your cake recipe.

TIP 8

Right Oil - If you are a vegan you can use common oil (substitute for butter). The taste of the cake depend whole lot on what sort of cooking oil you are using. Heating oil before its smoke point will reduce its flavor and may cause cancer compounds.

Get Ready With Basic Supplies – Before getting started make sure you have all the necessary tools and supplies. Getting prepared will help you in baking more efficiently.

TIP 10

Separating Eggs - There are a million different techniques for separating egg yolk. You can use a slotted spoon, your hands or transfer the yolk back and forth in a cracked shell. Our favorite egg separating hack uses the plastic water bottle to magically suck the yolk up and away from the whites.

TIP 11

Folding a Batter - Folding the batter is quite technical and super easy. Fold it in a way that it creates a light and airy batter. It may sound difficult to your ears but trust me you can achieve in some easy breezy steps.

TIP 12

Knead Dough Perfectly: The secret to kneading dough is utmost patience and right sort of flour. This process will take 10 to 15 minutes. When the dough becomes smooth, supple and silky stop right there.

TIP 13

Melting Chocolate - Going for a Chocolate cake...?? Cautiously melt the chocolate at the right temperature and you are good to go. Make you cake a little fancy. Cover strawberries and cherries in melted chocolate. Garnish you cake to give it a glam look.

TIP 14

Decorating Your Cake - Okay so you’ve baked a perfect cake. It’s time to step it up and give royal icing and generous topping of fresh fruits. You can also use beautifully cut brown or white chocolates in various shapes and sizes. This process may consume your time but it’s worth it.

TIP 15

Baking Substitutions - You are halfway through your recipe and you realize you don’t have a key ingredient. No need to panic. See if you can use a different product as asubstitute.
